Fennrise ("Fennrise," "we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-powered productivity platform designed to help students and young professionals plan, track, and achieve their goals through tools such as an AI assistant, planner, goal tracker, journal, opportunities feed, and dashboard (collectively, the "Service").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website, join our waitlist, or use the Service. By using our website or the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

Fennrise ("Fennrise," "we," "us," or "our") is currently an independent project founded and operated by Siddhesh Sonawane, based in Pune, Maharashtra, India. If Fennrise is incorporated or reorganized as a legal entity in the future, these Terms may be updated to reflect that change.

Waitlist Sign-Up. When you join our waitlist, we collect:

• Your email address
• Your role (e.g., student, young professional, or other category you select)

This information is submitted through our website's waitlist and survey forms and is processed by our third-party form provider, Formspree, on our behalf.

Survey Responses. If you choose to complete an optional survey to help us shape the product, we collect the responses you provide.

Account & Product Information (Future Service Use). Once the Service launches, if you create an account or use product features, we may collect additional information, including:

• Account credentials (e.g., email and password, or single sign-on identifiers)
• Profile information you choose to add
• Planner, calendar, and scheduling entries (e.g., tasks, timetables, reminders)
• Goal-setting data, milestones, habits, and streak information
• Journal entries, private notes, and mood-tracking data you choose to record
• Conversations and prompts submitted to our AI assistant
• Career and opportunity preferences (e.g., interests related to scholarships, internships, jobs, competitions, or events)

We do not sell your personal information.

4. AI Features and Your Data

Fennrise's AI assistant and related features (such as personalized planning suggestions) process the information you provide — including prompts, planner entries, goals, and journal content, where applicable — in order to generate helpful responses and recommendations.

• We may use third-party AI service providers to power these features. Any such providers are contractually required to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws and are not permitted to use your data to train their own models without your consent, except as disclosed to you.
• Please avoid submitting sensitive information (such as government ID numbers, financial account details, or health information) to the AI assistant unless it is necessary for the specific feature you are using.
• Journal entries, private notes, and mood-tracking data are treated as sensitive personal information. We apply additional safeguards to this category of data and do not use it for advertising purposes.

5. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with:

• Service Providers who help us operate our website and Service, such as form processing (Formspree), email delivery, hosting, analytics, and AI processing providers, who may only use your information to perform services on our behalf.
• Parties involved in a Business Transfer — a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
• Recipients required by Legal Requirements, or where necessary to comply with legal process, protect our rights, or protect the safety of our users or the public.
• Any other party with your consent or at your direction.

We do not share your journal entries, private notes, or mood-tracking data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

We and our service providers may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to operate our website, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use our site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect certain website functionality.
